Lucy Rieke

Director of Camp

Lucy Rieke is the Director of Choirs at Galesburg High School, where she conducts Concert Choir, Chorale, Treble Singers, Silver Vocal Jazz, and Gold Vocal Jazz. In her time at Galesburg, Lucy has increased student enrollment in choral ensembles by over 40%. To expand opportunities for students, Lucy launched both a Junior High Vocal Jazz program and a High School Vocal Jazz program, and in response to rising interest, introduced a second High School Vocal Jazz ensemble to meet the growing demand. Under her direction, the choral program values both musical excellence and the development of kind, empathetic young leaders.

In addition to her work in choral music, Lucy directs the Galesburg Silver Streaks Theatre Department and is an adjunct faculty accompanist at Knox College. Lucy received her bachelor's degree in music education from Western Illinois University, graduating with cum laude honors.

Lucy remains active as a musician in Illinois, performing as a vocalist with professional and community ensembles and accompanying local choirs and soloists. Lucy has also appeared as a guest clinician for the Prairieland Conference Choral Festival. Lucy is an active member of the Golden Apple Scholars Program and the Illinois Music Education Association, where she currently serves as the District 2 Junior Chorus Representative.

Lucy is committed to fostering a culture where students support one another, celebrate successes, and lead with integrity on and off the stage, cultivating confident musicians within a choral community grounded in respect and kindness.

Wes Anderson

Assistant Director of Camp

Wesley Anderson is currently serving as a Graduate Assistant with the Illinois State University Band Department. Wesley also serves as a Sergeant and Musical Performance Team Leader with the 144th Army Band, where he has led over 50 missions, revived the Big Band, and conducted and composed for major civic events, including the Illinois Polish Freedom Day Ceremony. Wesley’s military education includes the Army School of Music Advanced Individual Training (earning a Distinguished Honor Graduate award), Basic Leaders Course (earning Commandant’s List honors), and Advanced Leaders Course (earning a Distinguished Honor Graduate and Distinguished Leader awards). 

An active educator, Wesley earned his master’s in teaching from Western Illinois University and served as director of the award-winning music program at ROWVA High School from 2022 to 2025. Wesley doubled student participation in music every school year, secured full program funding to make music free for all students, led ROWVA to its first top-three finish in the IHSA, and founded the district’s first Tri-M Music Honor Society. Wesley’s ensembles consistently earn superior ratings at contests. Wesley earned the district's Teacher of the Year and the Illinois State Board of Education’s Award of Meritorious Service. 

A summa cum laude graduate of Berklee College of Music in Film Scoring and Composition, Wesley was awarded the prestigious Wachter Fellowship while in his undergraduate studies. Wesley has recorded on over 50 film and video game projects, performs regularly as a jazz musician, has appeared as a guest conductor with the Knox-Galesburg Symphony, and is an active clinician, composer, arranger, and drill designer. Wesley remains committed to fostering a community of musicians who show up, bring a positive attitude, and have fun making music together.

Isabelle Hardy

Head Counselor

Belle is a vocal music education major at Western Illinois University, an experienced performer, and a private lesson coach with a background in choral and solo singing. She currently sings in WIU’s top ensembles, Chamber Singers and University Singers, and performs regularly for church choirs. Her choral experience also includes high school choir, madrigal singers, All-State Honor Choir, community choir, and a variety of other choir engagements. In high school, she served as drum major, developing leadership skills and a passion for mentoring other musicians.


As a soloist, Belle has earned multiple honors, including first place in the Regional NATS Musical Theatre Competition, and winning WIU’s Orchestra Concerto Competition, which awarded her the opportunity to perform a featured solo aria with the university orchestra. She is also a recipient of the Arion Music Excellence Award and was the winner of the Peoria Area Civic Chorale Young Artist Competition.

In addition to performing, Belle has taught private piano and voice lessons for three years and is passionate about helping young singers grow in confidence, musicianship, and artistry. She is excited to serve as a counselor for the jazz audition prep camp and looks forward to supporting and encouraging each student through their auditions.

Max Main

Piano Accompanist

Seventh-generation farmer raising soybeans, corn, cattle, and poultry. Pianist/Army musician with the 144th Army National Guard Band, and a full-time student at Purdue University studying Jazz Music and Agricultural Business. Passionate about physical fitness, film, and music. He teaches piano lessons and works as a carpenter during the spring and summer.
